Join us for the Annual Torrington Round the Tree Race!

As part of the Torrington Mayfair Celebrations, our annual Round the Tree Race is back on Friday the 8th of May!

This challenging and scenic 2.75-mile run or walk kicks off from Torrington Square, takes you down through the beautiful Torrington Commons, and leads into Taddiport!

Once you reach the iconic tree, you’ll enjoy a relatively flat section back along the river path, but brace yourself for the tough climb back into town!

Did you know? The ‘Round the Tree Race’ is a long-held tradition! In the past, when there were fewer trees and bushes on the commons due to grazing, brave runners used to plunge straight down over Castle Hill and wade through the river!

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • A stunning scenic course!

  • A medal for all finishers!
