Notice U13 & U15 results
Following our under 13’s and under 15’s Round the Tree race, and confusion with the course, Torrington AAC have performed a thorough investigation.
We have a situation where children have run three different routes, and we feel it unfair to make comparisons of their times and select any overall winners for 2025.
The children’s times are posted above but are unable to define with 100% certainty which children ran which route, and is our reason to not announce an overall champion for the U13s and U15s categories this year.
We understand that all the children have worked hard and trained hard for this event, and we appreciate their frustration.
As a result, we would like to reward their participation, and we can confirm that each child that entered and ran will receive a token of appreciation in addition to their medal.
Given the number of children involved, this will take some time to co-ordinate and distribute so please be patient with us. More information to follow once we have worked out a plan.
We truly would like to see you all return next year and have plans to avoid a reoccurrence. It means a lot to TAAC and the community that children enter the race and we encourage young people to be outside and be active.
