Dads C25K

C25K. When I first heard that, I thought it sounded like the classic Citroen car…….

But I was wrong. It’s the trendy (or what I call lazy) way of saying ‘Couch to 5 K’. If you struggle to say or write Couch to 5K, this post isn’t for you. If you are not put off there, please read on.

What puts anyone off running? Here’s a few ideas:

It’s boring, it’s difficult, it hurts, I don’t have the time, I don’t have the energy….and the list goes on.

Any of these sound familiar? If yes, you’re not alone. I’ve been running for over 10 years, and I still sometimes struggle to put the trainers on and get out of the door. However, it’s extremely rare that I ever regret going for a run.

In September, we will be launching our Dads Couch to 5K.

We’re looking to forge a group of rough diamond dads that want to feel better about themselves, look better but ultimately be more physically involved in life.

I’m not excluding ‘non’ Dads as I’m not anti-Dad, so you don’t have to be a Dad to sign up……..and for the record, I’m not anti-Mum either, but this is aimed at men.

Along the way, we’ll have some laughs, you’ll meet new friends and some of the elite running club members (I use the term ‘elite’ very loosely). You’ll clock up some miles and you may even experience some places in Torrington that you may not realise existed. We’ll also try to enjoy some beers and/or coffees along our journey of getting fitter and healthier.

If this sounds interesting, we’d like to welcome you into the running club family.

It will be 10-week course starting on Wednesday 14th September at 18:15 for a small cost of £20.

If you like the idea but are a little nervous or anxious about signing up, I’d be more than happy to talk you through the process.

If you want to sign up, please contact me on the below number or e-mail.
